The most beautiful walks with your dog in Zeeland 

Nothing beats a lovely walk with your dog through nature. A relaxing walk through the woods or a fun romp on the beach. Discover the surroundings of your holiday home in Zeeland during a walk with your four-legged friend.

Manteling of Walcheren

Walk through a varied landscape, through the dunes, along ponds and past Westhove Castle. Follow the blue route and discover traces of the Second World War. Your dog is welcome in this walking area, provided it is on a leash. This walk can be combined with a visit to the Terra Maris museum, which focuses on nature and landscape. Your dog is also welcome here, provided it is kept on a leash.

Boswachterij Westerschouwen

On the coast of Schouwen-Duiveland, you will find Zeeland's largest forest, a beautiful walking area. The route is easy to walk, even with a buggy or wheelchair, and your dog is also welcome, on a leash. Through dunes and the forest, with many different species of trees and plants. It is an area rich in birds, but wild shetland ponies and fallow deer can also be found here.

Veerse bos

Take a walk through the Veerse bos, located around the Veerse Kreek. Enjoy the peace and nature, hear the birds singing and who knows, you might spot fallow deer. Make a stop at one of the picnic spots and let your dog run around in the off-leash areas.

 
 

Dogfriendly beaches in Noord-Beveland

Dogs are welcome on most beaches and may walk without leash during the winter months. In the summer season the dogs have to be kept on a leash during the day. We always advise you to keep an eye on the signs at the dune crossing.

North sea beach De Banjaard (Kamperland)

Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash during the bathing season between 10 am and 7 pm. The bathing season is from 1 May to 1 October.

Beach Vrouwenpolder

On the main beach of Vrouwenpolder (Breezand) dogs are not allowed in the summer season. On the beach at the Veersedam dogs are allowed throughout the year, but they have to be kept on a leash during the bathing season between 10.00 and 19.00.

 
Beach Neeltje Jans

Dogs are allowed on the beach of Neeltje Jans, but they have to be kept on a leash during the bathing season between 10 am and 7 pm. The bathing season is from 1 May to 1 October.

Het Veerse Meer

Dogs are welcome along the banks of the Veerse Meer, provided they are on a leash (all year round). Begracing areas are forbidden for dogs. Watch the signs!

De Oosterschelde

At the Sofia beach at Roompot Beach Resort and along the banks of the Oosterschelde, dogs are welcome, provided they are on a leash (year-round).
