Your dog is welcome in the following holiday homes

Dogs are welcome in many of our holiday homes. Most holiday homes are surrounded by a large green plot, so your dog can play outside. Many houses also have a fenced garden, so you don't have to worry about your dog escaping from the garden. That feels very safe! On our website you will find an overview of our holiday homes for you and your dog. Here is a selection of our range.

Taking your dog for a walk in nature

The water is never far away from our holiday homes. The North Sea beach, Veerse Meer and Oosterschelde - you are always within five (car) minutes of the water. But also miles of dunes and large open grassy plains are just around the corner. These are all wonderful areas for a peaceful walk with the dog.

The North Sea beach

The North Sea beach is easily accessible from Kamperland on foot, by bicycle or by car. By car it is best to park on the large car park at the transition to Strandpaviljoen De Banjaard (Note: Paid parking from April 1 to November 1). From here you can easily walk onto the beach via the boardwalk. The beach has a total length of 20 kilometres and stretches from the Oosterscheldekering to Westkapelle. The widest part of the North Sea beach is at Vrouwenpolder. For the fanatical walker, this is a beautiful route to walk, while your dog enjoys himself in the waves of the North Sea. Do you prefer walking on paved surfaces? Then take the route along the beach through the dunes. Here you will have a magnificent view of the coastline of Zeeland.

Nature reserve De Schotsman

On the edge of Kamperland, you will find nature reserve De Schotsman, a former sandbank that fell dry after the Veerse Gat was closed off in 1961. The area consists of mixed forest, open grasslands, mudflats and dunes. From your holiday home by the Veerse Meer or Park De Groote Duynen you can walk straight into the woods. You will find both paved and unpaved paths and your dog can sniff around while you enjoy the flora and fauna around you. Please note that your dog must always be on a leash! Do you prefer to follow a marked route? Then follow the green walking route, a 5.8-kilometre tour that shows you the most beautiful spots of the Schotsman. Along the way you can see the Scottish Highlanders grazing and with a bit of luck spot one of the many deer.

The Veerse Meer

You will find the Veerse Meer next to the Schotsman nature reserve. The shore of the Veerse Meer is perfect for a long walk with your dog. Please note that your dog must be on a leash and is not allowed in the grazing areas. Does your dog like to swim? Then you have come to the right place, because while you are walking along the shores, your dog can take a refreshing swim!

Dog friendly restaurants in Kamperland and surrounding areas

Kamperland and its surroundings have a wide range of restaurants with terraces, where you and your dog can relax after a long walk along the water. Your dog is welcome both inside and on the terrace. And do not hesitate to ask for a bowl of water for your dog! We are pleased to list the best and most delicious addresses for you.

Beachclub Lekker & beach restaurant De DAM | Strand 70 & 80 in Vrouwenpolder

Immediately after the entrance to the beach of Vrouwenpolder, you will see the terrace of Beachclub Lekker on your right. Here you can enjoy tasty specialities from Zeeland, both outside and in the cosy restaurant. If you walk a little to the right along the beach, you will arrive directly at beach restaurant De DAM. This is another trendy hotspot where you can enjoy a snack and a drink both inside and outside, with a view of the golden beach.

Located on Kamperland's port, with a view of the many yachts that have settled in the harbour.

Uitspanning De Houtzaagwerf | Oud Kortgenedijk 2 in Kortgene

Hidden in the green, behind a small dike and a sawmill, you will find Uitspanning De Houtzaagwerf. This cosy, small-scale restaurant has a few tables inside, but when the weather is nice, guests mainly sit in the lovely garden. With the most delicious local dishes and the chickens chattering all around you, you will imagine yourself in paradise in the south of France.

Behind the dunes of the North Sea beach you will find Fletcher Hotel Restaurant De Kamperduinen. In the renovated restaurant and on the terrace you can enjoy a cup of coffee, a lunch or an enjoyable dinner.
