Water sports in Zeeland

The possibilities for water sports enthusiasts in Zeeland are well known. All Zeeland's waters are wonderful for exploring by boat. Whether you want to enjoy the thrill of wakeboarding or water-skiing or prefer to relax in all luxury on a motor yacht, in Zeeland you will always find a piece of water that seems to be made for it. The Veerse Meer is ideal for those with less experience and the North Sea, Eastern Scheldt and Western Scheldt offer plenty of opportunities for the more experienced water sports enthusiasts.

Water sports on holiday in Zeeland

Waterskiing & wakeboarding

Schotsman Water Sports Centre offers you the possibility to (learn) waterskiing or wakeboarding on the Veerse Meer. You can use the cable car. You will be towed by a drag lift, over a distance of 820 meters per round. There are many other activities such as banana, windsurfing and kayaking. The capers on the water are easy to see from the sunny terrace on the water. At the Scottish Water Ski Centre, no one has to be bored!

The beautiful wide beaches on Noord-Beveland are perfect for kite surfing.

In addition, our beaches have various spots with shallow and flat water. Ideal conditions for practicing and learning water sports.

Have you always wanted to experience the thrill and where the wind takes you? If you want to get to grips with the taste of kitesurfing, then Vertigo Sports is the right place for you. From April to September, Vertigo offers sports in groups or one-on-one lessons on the beautiful wide beaches of Vrouwenpolder. Accompanied by professional and enthusiastic instructors and using the latest materials, we give them a unique experience on and around the water.

Windsurfing and catamaran sailing

Zeeland has had a large surfing scene for years. Lake Veere is a popular spot for surfing and all the beaches where you can find kite surfers are also popular with surfers because of the wind. All facilities for a great surfing trip. By the way, surfing is allowed in more places than kiting and you are not bound to certain beaches. Windsurfing school Veerse Dam has been giving windsurfing lessons to both beginners and advanced surfers since 1984. They transfer the windsurfing feeling in a responsible way, guaranteed.

SUPPING or Stand Up Paddel Boarding is rapidly gaining popularity all over the world. Explore the surroundings of Lake Veere as early as Suppend. At the Veerse Dam surf school you can rent a Supboard separately or you can opt for a Suples. With a Suples you will go on the water together with the instructor and you will learn the techniques through various exercises. Once you have mastered the basic techniques, you can cross the Veerse Dam and take on the challenge at sea!

Sailing or sloop sailing

Hoist the sails and sail towards freedom. Rent a sailing boat or sloop and explore the many uninhabited islands in Lake Veere, or moor in picturesque Veere. The clear, salty Veerse Meer is ideal for a relaxing cruise with friends or family. Would you like to rent a boat during your holiday? You can do this via Waterfront Jachtcharter in Delta Marina in Kortgene!

Private yacht with skipper

No sailing experience, but still make a nice sailing trip? What do you think of a sailing trip on the Oosterschelde on your own private yacht with a professional skipper? You can spend a day or part of a day sailing with your own travel group, at very affordable prices. Amazing Sailing has an extensive fleet of luxury motor yachts, sailing yachts and nostalgic yachts. During a sailing trip you can roll up your sleeves or just relax on deck. Departure from Roompot Beach Resort.

Sport Fishing

Noord-Beveland has a lot to offer as a recreational fisherman or an angler and is therefore very popular with anglers! The North Sea is very popular with anglers, fishing trips are regularly organised and from the shore a lot of flatfish is caught.

An unexpectedly colourful world: the (w)underwater world of the Oosterschelde.

The Oosterschelde a boring bowl of salt water? Didn't think so! It is a paradise for divers and snorkelers. Thanks to the nutrient-rich water, the Oosterschelde is teeming with animals and plants.
