The Corona virus is still present in our lives and we understand that this exceptional situation brings uncertainties, especially regarding your (planned) holiday. Below you will find an overview of frequently asked questions and their answers, conveniently divided into several categories. Can my (planned) holiday at Ruiterplaat Vakanties continue as planned?
Yes, your holiday can go ahead as planned, we will be happy to welcome you.
I have booked a stay with another family or with friends. Can my stay continue?
Yes your stay can continue, but you can only stay with your own household or with max. 2 persons in a villa. By a household we mean spouses, registered partners or other life partners and parents, grandparents and children insofar as they live at one address.
What measures does Ruiterplaat Vakanties take to prevent the Corona virus from spreading?
We take all necessary precautions to meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene. Before your arrival, your holiday home is cleaned with the greatest care and we take various additional measures including disinfecting the hand contact points, the kitchen and the sanitary facilities in your villa with a certified disinfectant. Furthermore, your villa is ventilated for at least 5 hours before arrival.
What are the current rules around check-in and check-out?
On the day of arrival you can collect the key of your holiday home from 16.00 hrs. in our reception, Veerweg 3 in Kamperland. When entering the reception we ask you to wear a mouth mask. Only one person is allowed in the reception area and our staff are behind plexiglass and wear a mouth mask for everyone's safety. Our reception is open until 17.00. Will you be arriving later? Please let us know in good time.
On the day of departure you must leave the villa before 09.00 hours. There is no check-out. You can deposit the keys in the return envelope in the mailbox at our office, after which we will refund any deposit paid within 14 days by bank transfer. A cash refund of the deposit is unfortunately not possible.
Are the supermarkets, shops and restaurants in Kamperland open?
The supermarkets in Kamperland are open, of course subject to various (hygiene) measures. Other shops are closed. Guests of Ruiterplaat Vakanties can also make use of AH Kamperland's special grocery service and the bakery service, so you don't have to leave your villa. The catering outlets are closed for the time being, but various restaurants offer take-away options.
Are the beaches and nature reserves freely accessible?
Yes, during your stay you can enjoy the beauty, peace and quiet of our beaches and nature reserves. Of course, the usual measures apply and you must keep a 1.5 metre distance. If the rules are exceeded or if there is too much traffic in these areas, the Zeeland Safety Region may decide to close off (parts of) the area.
I want to cancel my stay, how do I do it?
You can cancel your stay online using this form.
Can I cancel my stay free of charge?
Within 14 days of making your reservation, you can cancel it without having to give reasons, unless the reservation was made 28 days or less before the start of your stay. If you paid by recreation voucher, you will receive a new recreation voucher.
What are the cancellation conditions after 14 days of booking?
Our regular cancellation conditions apply from 14 days after booking (or in the case of reservations made less than 28 days before the start of the stay). If your stay cannot go ahead due to a closed border, negative travel advice to Zeeland or a quarantine obligation upon arrival or return in combination with negative travel advice, you can rebook your reservation free of charge for another date in 2021. The above must be communicated on the official website of the Dutch government or government of the country of origin. Our general cancellation conditions apply to cancellations due to other circumstances.
I have to cancel my stay due to travel restrictions. How can I rebook my stay?
You can request a rebooking using this form.
If I change my holiday to a later date and it is more expensive, do I have to pay a supplement?
Yes, if the new price is higher than that of the existing booking, you will be charged the difference.
I have made use of your cancellation fund when booking. Can I cancel free of charge?

I have filled in the rebooking form, but have not received a response yet. What should I do now?
Our staff will try to contact you within 5 working days of receiving your rebooking form. Have you not received a response from us after 5 working days? Please contact our staff by telephone.
Due to the exceptional situation created by the coronavirus, this recreation voucher has been introduced. The recreation-voucher is a digital voucher. You can use this as online payment to book another holiday because the original stay could not take place due to the corona virus. The value of the voucher is equal to the received (down) payment minus the reservation costs. You can use the voucher(s) as payment for a new booking for a stay in 2021.
How does the recreation voucher work?
You can redeem the voucher by entering the voucher code in step 1 of the booking process. In the right-hand column, under the overview of your dates of stay, you will see the options for entering a voucher or coupon code. Enter the unique voucher code in this field and click on 'redeem'. The credit on the voucher is then processed as payment.
What are the advantages of a recreation voucher?
With the recreation voucher you keep the already paid travel sum (minus the reservation costs) as a credit for the next stay. The recreation voucher is valid until 31 December 2021, so you have enough time to plan a new stay at Z'ANDvillas.
How long is the recreation voucher valid?
You can use the voucher up to one year after the date of issue as payment for a new booking via our website. The voucher can be redeemed for a stay in the period up to 31 December 2021.
Do I have to spend the entire amount of the recreation voucher at once?
No, the recreation voucher is a digital asset that you can spend in several parts. If the new travel sum is less than the credit on the voucher, the remainder will remain on the voucher. You can use this for a next booking with departure until 31 December 2021.
Can I use the leisure voucher for a booking I have already made?
You can, if you still have to pay (part of) the existing booking. The recreation voucher cannot be exchanged for a booking that has already been paid for.
Can you refund me the (remaining) value of the recreation voucher?
No, there will be no refund if you do not use/ cannot use the voucher.
Can I give the recreation voucher to someone else?
No, the recreation voucher is not transferable.
I have lost my recreation voucher. Can I have a new one sent to me?
Yes, you can. You can contact our staff. They will send you your previously received voucher code again.
I have already booked a new holiday with the recreation voucher. Now I want to add some extras. Can I pay for them with the recreation voucher?
Yes, that's possible if you still have a balance on your recreation voucher. After adding the extras, you can use your recreation voucher as a means of payment.
I have already used part of my recreation voucher. Can you tell me what credit is left on it?
Yes, you can. Please contact our staff.
I've rebooked my holiday or cancelled it because of the corona virus, but I still want a recreation-voucher. Is that possible?
No, unfortunately it is not possible to receive the recreation voucher with retroactive effect.
