The family beach on the North Sea is 500 meters wide in some places and has something to offer for everyone. The beach is also accessible for the disabled. The Banjaardstrand is distinguished annually with the Blue Flag, a quality mark that covers quality, sustainability and safety, among other things. The Bandjaard beach

The Banjaard beach is a nice family beach with wooden walkways to the water, a beautiful beach pavilion, beach houses and an active rescue brigade. Playground equipment and well-maintained sanitary facilities are available for younger guests. In summer it is wonderful to be here on a sunny beach day and in winter you can enjoy the peace and space on the extra wide beach. Vrouwenpolder Beach

A few kilometers past the Banjaard beach is the vast beach of Vrouwenpolder. Here too, peace and quiet play the leading role. The beach is the perfect place for a summer day for young and old and even your dog will not be bored here. Feel like relaxing? That is perfectly possible at Beachclub Lekker and Strandrestaurant De Dam. In 2018, Beachclub Lekker was even voted the best beach pavilion in Zeeland!

Roompot beach

Are you staying in one of our holiday homes at the Roompot Beach Resort holiday park during your holiday in Noord-Beveland? Then you have the beach within walking distance at your doorstep! Right next to the marina is a small-scale beach with beach houses. That way you don't even have to leave the park!

Neeltje Jans

A little further, but definitely worthwhile is the North Sea beach at Neeltje Jans. This beach is situated on the former working island of the Oosterscheldekering. From the beach you look out over the pillars of the flood barrier. The beach of Neeltje Jans is crowded in the summer months because of its location and, among other things, because the dog is allowed on the lead (if on a lead).

Rent a beach cabin

Through Ruiterplaats Vakanties you can rent a beach cabin, so you can enjoy your own piece of beach. Ideal during a holiday with small children or when you just want a little more comfort during a wonderful beach day. The beach cabins are among other things provided with two sun loungers, a windshield and a table. Choose a house with a sea view or in the shelter of the high dunes. The beach cabins can be rented from mid-May to mid-September and are located along the entire Banjaard beach.

Horse back riding on the beach

Explore Noord-Beveland on horseback. Driving along the beach is always beautiful. Just wash your feet in the sea and then splash the water in gallop. There are also several equestrian routes specially laid out on Noord-Beveland where you often take the tour on specially constructed equestrian paths. In the stables, the horses are ready for you to go into nature for a few days. You will pass through forests, dunes and along the beach. The packages are usually divided into three categories: beginners, intermediate and advanced. An outside ride is regularly made under supervision. A day trip is nice and relaxing, but exciting evening or even night trips are also organized.

Neeltje Jans

The North Sea beach at Neeltje Jans is slightly further away, but certainly worth a visit. This beach is situated on the former working island of the Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier. From the beach, you look out over the pillars of the storm surge barrier. The Neeltje Jans beach is very popular during the summer months because of its location and also because dogs are allowed (if kept on a leash).
